Hannah Jarvis plays both Fleance and Daughter of Macduff in MACBETH.

Describe the characters you play in 3 sentences or less.
I play Fleance the son of Banquo and the Daughter of Macduff, so basically I play all the children in the play. Fleance is a teenager who is ready to be a man. Daughter of Macduff is just tired of taking care of her hysterical mother.

What similarities do you share with your characters?
I look like a teenager so I have that in common with them. I’m also a girl, so I have that in common with Daughter of Macduff.

How are you different from your characters?
Well Fleance is a boy and I am a girl, so that is a big difference.

Why do you feel Shakespeare’s plays are still relevant today?
I feel that Shakespeare’s plays are still relevant today because there are so many different ways that they can be interpreted. Whenever I watch or re-read one of Shakespeare’s plays, I always find something new in the text.

Why do you enjoy performing Shakespeare?
I have always felt that Shakespeare is meant to be seen, not read. Performing Shakespeare is a great way to expose people to great literature and great plays as well.

What professional actor do you admire and why?
I admire Helen Bonham Carter because she always plays such interesting and different characters.

If acting is not your day job, what is?
I currently work at Gymboree Play and Music as a teacher, and I also go to UCI where I am a drama major and education minor.

Describe your perfect Sunday afternoon.
Relaxing at home, probably reading a good book.

Call out someone who MUST see your show!
