TEAMWORK IS MANDATORY
Actors not only perform but also act as crew members. Everyone is expected to be present for his/her performance evenings and participate in setting up the show.We must set-up and breakdown the set each night. It is a team effort where each person is assigned a few tasks. It’s a lot of fun!
A COMEDY OF ERRORS is well known for being a story of two sets of twins with zany incidents and characters. After being separated as a child from his mother and twin brother, Antiphons of Syracuse has set out in search of his lost family with his trusted servant Dromio at his side. Chaos ensues when they arrive in the land where their twin brothers live, and all are constantly mistaken for the other! This summer we are bringing the show to life in the world of vaudeville, from slapstick comedy to musical acts, from burlesque to acrobatics.
We are looking for a diverse cast- accepting auditions from actors of all ethnicities and from ages 10 to 99. We are approaching this production with blind casting- roles can be played by any gender, any body type, any ethnicity. Characters will remain as written (M/F), but are open for anyone to play the role. Actors may be asked to play more than one role.
